The Scott August Newsletter
Winter 2011 Member's Edition

Greetings,

It feels like ages since I sent out my last newsletter, but in truth it has only been about three months. I've spent most of the last few months tucked away in my studio trying to get work done on my next CD or giving lessons to people as close as Malibu and as far away as South Korea! There was also that New Years trip to Bisbee, AZ where we almost got stuck in a snow storm, but that's another story...

In the meantime here is the Winter 2011 Edition of Echoes From The Mesa, my newsletter. In it you'll find news about Radiant Sky being nominated for two awards, including Best Album of the Year, a new free MP3 download, how to play a Major scale on your NAF, and my latest appearance schedule for 2011.

I know it's short notice but if you live in southern Arizona I'll be giving a house concert in Apache Junction on March 12th. Plus the Zion Flute School is coming up soon and the week before that is Musical Echoes in Florida.

Last you'll find more details about the private lessons I'm offering on my new Private Lessons webpage.

It's all below for you to explore.

In Harmony,
Scott August

What students are saying:
"This past week, I had the distinct pleasure of having my first lesson with Scott. I had signed up for a 30 min lesson however, I got my money's worth as we ran over by 10-15 mins. [Scott] tries not to schedule back-to-back lessons just so it allows for some overage. We started with basic embouchure and a suggestion that...has allowed me to get to the second octave notes easier as well as smoothing out the fundamental octave notes. ...we covered several topics and basic drills that I think will be beneficial to furthering my end blown progress. It has already!!

Needless to say, I would recommend anyone interested in improving their end blown playing to consider taking a lesson or two. I don't think you'll be sorry."
-Mark, Albuquerque, NM

"Lessons with Scott are fun and you will learn."
-Dawn, N
