This will be an intensive hands on workshop that will allow for daily progress on this difficult instrument. This workshop will also cover Mojave flutes. We will cover: Introduction to the Anasazi flute How to hold the flute Lip position and placement "Embouchure" Getting your first notes Perfecting your tone Exploring the scales Breath control How to practice Helpful exercises Pitfalls to avoid. Over the course of the five days each student will get many opportunities for one-on-one instruction and guidance with Scott August. If you have considered taking up the Anasazi flute this is the perfect class for you. An Anasazi or Mojave flute is required for this workshop.
